\"EuropeandayoflanguagesOnce again we celebrated the European Day of Languages at Alquer\u00eda on Monday, 26 September! \u00a0We were \u00a0fortunate to count on the participation of many parents doing workshops in other languages.<\/p>\n

Our special day began with a treat at the morning break–shortbread cookies for a special snack and a world music accompaniment over the loudspeaker. \u00a0Special thanks to Elena for preparing a playlist to set the mood for our language workshops.<\/p>\n

Later, students from Year 1 to Year 6 mixed it up attending workshops according to the flag sticker they had been given by their tutors. \u00a0Students attended three workshops, each lasting 30 minutes to get some exposure to either a game or a song in another language.<\/p>\n

Our wonderful group of parents really pulled out all the stops preparing their workshops which included dancing, singing, listening to an instrument, playing fronton and practicing sign language. Here is the complete list of workshops:<\/p>\n

Francesca and Mateo- Italian Games<\/p>\n

Jaume- Songs from Valencia and Catalonia<\/p>\n

Mikel – Esku Pilota or a version of Fronton<\/p>\n

Rosario – German songs<\/p>\n

Wouter – Dutch card games<\/p>\n

Sergio and Kathy – French games<\/p>\n

and a special thank you to Dora for her collaboration and assistance coordinating workshops!<\/p>\n

\u00a1Una vez m\u00e1s celebramos el D\u00eda Europeo de las Lenguas en Alquer\u00eda el lunes 26 de septiembre! Tambi\u00e9n tuvimos la suerte de contar con la participaci\u00f3n de varias familias que nos hicieron talleres en otros idiomas.\r\n\r\nNuestro d\u00eda especial comenz\u00f3 con un desayuno diferente en el<\/em> recreo de la ma\u00f1ana - galletas de mantequilla  acompa\u00f1ados de m\u00fasica del mundo puesto a trav\u00e9s del altavoz. Un agradecimiento especial a Elena I. para la preparaci\u00f3n de una lista de reproducci\u00f3n para crear un ambiente especial para nuestros talleres de los idiomas de Europa.\r\n<\/em>\r\nM\u00e1s tarde, los alumnos de 1\u00ba a 6\u00ba se mezclaron por edades, asistiendo a talleres seg\u00fan la pegatina de la  bandera que recibieron de sus tutores. Todos los alumnos y alumnas atendieron a tres talleres con una duraci\u00f3n de 30 minutos cada uno para aprender un juego o una canci\u00f3n en otro idioma.\r\n\r\nNuestro maravilloso grupo de familias realmente  preparaban talleres muy divertidos e interesantes que inclu\u00edan danza, canciones, instrumentos, pelotas de front\u00f3n y la pr\u00e1ctica de la lengua de signos.
