I want to say a happy \u00abWelcome back!\u00bb to the Yellow class! \u00a0It is so lovely to see everyone again and see how much every student \u00a0has grown! \u00a0We have had English class several times now, and as we get through the adaptation period, we are getting back to routines! \u00a0We have begun to share fruit again\u00a0 – mostly \u00a0apples and pears.\u00a0 Some students even remembered the words from last year!<\/p>\n

We are also beginning our study of colors starting with yellow, and learning a rainbow song to practice all our colors.<\/p>\n

The \u00a0\u00abW.O.W.\u00bb or \u00abWord of the Week\u00bb is a new initiative this year.\u00a0\u00a0Each week in pre-school, we will post an English word for tutors, students and all specialists to use as much as possible with the children, instead of using the Spanish equivilent. \u00a0We\u00a0 started with please and thank-you,<\/em>\u00a0and this week the\u00a0word is school<\/em>!\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>We hope all the pre-school families will enjoy using some English words at home too, to reinforce\u00a0the words\u00a0\u00a0and demonstrate that language learning is natural part of life, not just something \u00abacademic\u00bb for school.<\/p>\n

\u00a1Quiero dar una feliz \u00abBienvenida de nuevo\u00bb a la clase amarilla! Estoy muy contenta de veros a todos de nuevo y de haber conocido los nuevos miembros de la clase.<\/p>\n

Ya hemos tenido la clase de\u00a0Ingl\u00e9s varias veces, y aunque seguimos en el periodo de adaptaci\u00f3n, estamos volviendo a la rutina y ense\u00f1\u00e1ndolo a los nuevos compa\u00f1eros y compa\u00f1eras de la clase! Hemos vuelto a compartir la fruta de la ma\u00f1ana y muchos ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as se\u00a0han acordado de las palabras pera y manzana.<\/em><\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n hablamos de colores, comenzando con el color de la clase: amarillo y practicamos una canci\u00f3n sobre un arco iris para practicar todos nuestros colores.<\/p>\n

Cada semana en infantil, vamos a publicar una palabra en Ingl\u00e9s para que los\u00a0profesores, estudiantes y todos los especialistas\u00a0lo usen\u00a0lo m\u00e1s frecuente posible con los ni\u00f1os, en lugar de utilizar el equivalente en espa\u00f1ol. Comenzamos con por favor<\/em> y gracias<\/em>, y esta semana la palabra es escuela<\/em>! \u00a1Esperamos que todas las familias\u00a0infantiles disfruten usando algunas palabras inglesas en casa tambi\u00e9n, para reforzar las palabras y demostrar que el aprendizaje de idiomas es parte natural de la vida, no s\u00f3lo algo \u00abacad\u00e9mico\u00bb para la escuela.<\/p>\n
