Some of the speaking activities we\u2019ve been doing are:<\/p>\n<p>We practised descriptive sentences to identify animals by their habitat, appearance, and abilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #800080\"><em>This animal lives in the jungle.<\/em><\/span><\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #800080\"><em>It is big and brown.<\/em><\/span><\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #800080\"><em>It can swim.<\/em><\/span><\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #800080\"><em>It likes bananas.<\/em><\/span><\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These short sentences help children use verbs such as <strong>to be, to have, can, to live, to eat,<\/strong> etc. Students described and drew their favourite animals and did an oral little presentation in front of their classmates saying for example\u2026<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\"><em>This is a lion. The lion is brown and big. Lions live in the jungle.
