With the approach of Christmas and the change in temperatures, winter has arrived! Â It has arrived in the Yellow and Blue classes as well.
We are talking about the winter season, the rain and clouds and the clothes we wear in winter. Â We admire the snowy, moutainous view from our windows and we have started to discuss snowmen!
We are singing traditional carols, starting with two popular ones: Frosty the Snowman and Jingle Bells. Â Here are some links to listen at home.
Hello! Â Christmas vacation is almost here! Â As it has been too cold to play outside recently we have been sharing our pears at snack time, helping decorate the classroom with the students’ ornaments and listening to Christmas music.
It is very exciting that three students now can completely  and understandably ask for more fruit in English saying «more please.»

¡Hola! Las vacaciones de Navidad ya casi están aquÃ! Como ha hecho demasiado frÃo para jugar fuera recientemente hemos estado compartiendo nuestras peras en la hora de la merienda, y hemos ayudado a decorar la clases con los ornamentos  hecho por los alumnos/as.  Ademas hemos tenido varios fiestas de baile  escuchando música de Navidad.
Es muy emocionante que tres estudiantes ahora pueden por  pedir más fruta totalmente en inglés diciendo  «more, please.»

We’ve been busy these past couple of weeks! Â We have been talking about winter, about how it is COLD and the clothes we wear when it is cold. Â We read a book about winter, revised our colors and colored our very own mittens! Â Here are some photos of our experience!
The children were offered their choice of four colors for their mittens, but were only allowed to use three. Â Some children, when asked which color they want, simply repeat the last color they hear. Â Others are very clear and select their color independently, with no regard to the order in which they are offered! Â What clear progress of understanding and English production!

Hemos estado muy ocupados estas últimas semanas! Hemos  hablado del invierno, sobre el frÃo y la ropa que nos ponemos para protegernos. LeÃmos un libro sobre esta frÃa estación del año, revisamos nuestros colores y pintamos nuestros propias manoplas! Estas son algunas fotos de nuestra experiencia!
Se les ofreció elegir entre cuatro colores para pintar sus manoplas, pero sólo se les permitÃa usar tres. Algunos niños, cuando se les preguntó qué color quierÃan, simplemente repitÃan el último color que escucharon. Otros tenÃan las ideas muy claras y seleccionaron el color que deseaban de forma independiente, sin tener en cuenta el orden en el que se les ofreció! Qué progreso mas claro de la comprensión del Inglés! Fue muy bonito y emocionante para mi.
