More and more I am using English exclusively when I enter the blue class (…of course, I still have Encarna for backup in Spanish when all else fails!)
Now almost all the students are able to follow our English class routine in only English. We share our fruit, talking about whether it is a pear or a banana. Then we check and change diapers, and we head downstairs, «going backwards.» We «get on the train,» and go to the patio! And almost exclusively in English! What an accomplishment for such a young group in English class only twice a week! I am so proud of them!
Cada vez más en la clase azul puedo dirigirme a los alumnos exclusivamente en inglés. (…como siempre tengo Encarna de apoyo en español cuando haga falta…) Casi todos y todas ya saben la rutina de la clase de inglés. Compartimos fruta, hablando de si es pera o plátano, luego vemos quien tiene que cambiarse el pañal antes de bajar al patio y luego bajamos al revés. Subimos al tren y al patio. Pero ya lo hacemos casi todo siguiendo instrucciones “in English!” ¡Que buen oído se están desarrollando! ¡Que logros!
