We´ve been out bug hunting this week which was fun and the perfect situation for putting into a real context all the language we´ve been learning. The children in Year 2 did a good job of sharing  their information in English.
 To celebrate the week of the book, the children listened to a story «The Three Questions» based on a short story by Tolstoy, read by Manolo and Lindley in English and French.

Esta semana hemos salido fuera para buscar bichos por lo cual lo pasamos muy bien y fué la situación perfecta para poner en un contexto real el lenguaje que estamos aprendiendo. Los niños y niñas de 2º hicieron un buen trabajo en compartir su información en inglés.
    Para celebrar la semana del libro, los niños y niñas escucharon el cuento «Las Tres Preguntas» basado en un cuento corto de Tolstoy, leído por Manolo y Lindley en inglés y francés.

In year 2 we are learning to describe the whereabouts of different bugs. We have worked on the  vocabulary of elements you find in the garden and prepositions of position, thus children are forming sentences similiar to the following:

• The ant is under the leaf.
• The praying mantis is on the stick.
• The dragonfly is next to the pond.

Children in Year 1 and Year 2 have been decorating Easter Eggs for the last two days. We choose colours, ask for materials and work in English all the time! We decide if we are going to decorate with lines, spots, polka dots or zig-zags.
On Friday, we all went egg hunting in the garden. It was lots of fun!
