The Orange class have been out to the garden with a checklist of the different natural features that we have been working on and were  delighted to find them and tick them off on their list. The photos below show the children playing a little game that we made up that involves listening and following the instructions as indicated:

• Put the ladybug on the tree.
• Put the spider on the stone etc….

 La clase naranja ha salido al jardín con una lista de los objetos que se encuentra en el entorno natural y se pusieron contentos de encontrar las cosas de su lista. En la foto de arriba, los niños y niñas participan en un pequeño juego que inventamos, que consiste en escuchar y seguir las instrucciones:

• Pon la mariquita en el árbol.
• Pon la araña encima de la piedra etc….

In the Orange class we have designed little actions to help us with the new words and the childrens´ comprehension  has really progressed. We enjoyed dancing and then, when the music stops, the children listen and respond with the appropiate action.                 

En la clase naranja hemos diseñado pequeñas acciones para ayudarnos con las palabras nuevas y la comprensión de los niños y niñas que ha progresado mucho. Hemos disfrutado bailando  y cuando  la música para, los niños y niñas responden con una acción apropiada.  

Children in the Orange class remain fascinated with the bugs project so we are moving on to familiarize ourselves with the habitat where bugs dwell. The new vocabulary  is the following: leaf, stick, stone, tree, flower.

Los niños y niñas en la clase naranja mantienen un interés en el tema de los bichos, así que hemos empezado a familiarizarnos con el entorno donde viven. El nuevo vocabulario es el siguiente: hoja, palo, piedra, árbol, flor.

Children in the Orange class attempted to produce symmetrical patterns on their butterfly by only painting one half of their sugar paper butterfly and then folding the paper and pressing hard. Some of the results can be seen below.

Los niños y niñas en la clase naranja intentaron hacer un diseño simétrico en su mariposa, pintando solamente la mitad de su mariposa de papel de estraza y luego doblándolo. Unos ejemplos de sus resultados se ven debajo. 

Children in the Orange class were delighted to go bug hunting in the playground. A selection of bugs were found – ants, snails, firebugs and flies. In the photo below some of the children discuss their finds.

Los niños y niñas de  la clase naranja estaban contentos al salir fuera y buscar bichos en el patio.Encontramos una selección de bichos – hormigas, caracoles, zapateros y moscas. En la foto de arriba unos niños hablan sobre sus descubrimientos.
