Welcome back to English!

HELLO KIDS!

WELCOME BACK TO ENGLISH CLASSES!

We hope you had a fantastic summer and are ready for a year full of fun, learning, and new adventures.

This year, you’ll meet new friends, explore amazing things, and have lots of exciting activities.

Remember, your teachers and everyone are here for you.

In this blog we will upload songs, games, and interesting facts about what we are learning and doing during our lessons, so it can be a fun way to review.

These first weeks of school we are knowing each other more and getting ready to learn a lot! We are doing revision of some previous contents and soon we will be celebrating Language Day!

Let’s have a great year together!

Now… let’s practice how to say hello in different languages 🙂

Parts of the body

Hi, everyone from «segundillo»!

These past weeks we have been learning about body parts. What an amazing interest and knowledge they have! They are able to describe their body and others’.

Apart from singing some funny songs about the different parts of the human body and face, we also played some guessing and word games in which we were are able to describe monsters, and developing our listening and oral skills in a enjoyable way ,for example playing “Who is who?”, it is so much fun!

Our primary students immersed in the spirit of Easter season before having holidays with a super fun Easter egg hunt and games! The garden was full of laughs and excitement while the little explorers searched for hidden puzzles and treats.

Spring is here!

Embracing Spring in Segundillo!

Hello dear students and friends!

Finally the sun is here! That’s why during the last weeks we’ve been immersing ourselves in the wonders of springtime.seasonal sun smiling kawaiiFrom learning about the changing seasons to exploring nature, our classroom has been buzzing like bees with excitement to say WELCOME TO SPRING!Welcome happy spring lettering

One of our favourite activities has been learning the song «It is Spring time» where we sing about the birds singing, the sunshine, and the blooming flowers… It’s been wonderful to see how the kids learnt these typical spring expressions with enthusiasm.

To make the most of this beautiful weather, we’ve been taken some lessons outdoors and creating a beautiful corner full of insects to say welcome to the Spring season!

We will continue exploring and learning, and looking forward to sharing more of our springtime adventures with you.

They are not the same, they are different…

Education word card of English opposites word

Opposite words also known as antonyms, are a pair of words with contrasting meanings. Learning antonyms helps us understand words better and speak more clearly!

Examples of Opposite words:

Big – Small

Fast – Slow

Happy – Sad

Hot – Cold

Day – Night

Here you have more examples as well as our favourite song about opposites!

Here are also some sentences we created in class:

  • The elephant is big, but the ant is small.
  • The rabbit is fast, but the turtle is slow.
  • I feel happy when I play, but I feel sad when it rains.
  • The soup is hot, but the ice cream is cold.
