The weather is changing, the air feels cooler, and the leaves are starting to fall… In Primary 1 we are welcoming this season with curiosity and creativity.
Our students are creating their own Autumn minibooks, where they tell their personal autumn stories — full of colorful leaves, animals, and cozy moments.
We have also been talking about our families and sharing who lives with us, connecting it with the warm and caring feelings of autumn. Through songs, poems, and stories, we are discovering just how magical this season can be!
Let’s put on our sweaters and keep exploring the beauty of autumn together!
In Primary 2, we are exploring autumn with our Autumn Wheel! Each student has created their own “Wheel of Autumn” o «Ruleta del otoño» and filled it with drawings that allow them to talk about this season of the year, from the wheel we can make questions, answersand stories about the season: from the weather, colours, clothes or activities that we usually do to animals, food, and nature.
We have been learning autumn vocabulary using flashcards, songs, and games, practicing words like leaves, squirrel, pumpkin, cold, rain orumbrella; and we are able to say sentences more complex such as:
In Autumn, leaves fall down from the trees.
Leaves change the colour from green to orange, brown, yellow and red.
In autumn we can eat pumpkin pie.
Squirrels can jump from the tree branches and the collect food for winter
Our classroom is full of music and color! We sing, play, and speak in English while learning about this wonderful time of year. Through our autumn activities, we are enjoying English in a fun and meaningful way.
We also read some books about Autumn and listen with big motivation to know who is the «Leaf Thief»… here we share with you all:
Our favourite song to dance and a game to review vocabulary! Have fun!
