What are you wearing?

Hello Primary 1!

What clothes are you wearing today?

In our English classes in Primary 1, we are learning about CLOTHES: clothes vocabulary, how to describe what people are wearing, etc.

During the lessons, we learned many new words related to clothing such as: t-shirt, jeans, jacket, dress, skirt, trainers, hat, mittens and so on.

An important structure we practiced is the verb TO WEAR. We learned how to describe what someone wears using sentences like: “She is wearing a red dress,” or “He is wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt.” This helped us practice both vocabulary and grammar at the same time.

To make learning more fun, we also listened some songs about clothes and fashion. Here you can enjoy some of them!

Another big part of the project is the creation of our own clothing store. First, we worked in groups to decide the name of the shop and the type of clothes we wanted to sell, then we designed the shop, chose different clothing items, and prepared prices and descriptions and for them. Finally, we will use our store to do a role play in class.

Some students acted as shop assistants and others as customers.

The customers ask questions like “How much is this?” and the shop assistant asks: “What do you need?” and helped them choose clothes.

We sang some funny songs about the different parts of the human body and the face, then we also played some guessing and word memory games. Primary 2 is learning fast.

We created some monsters in order to practise our listening skills and did an oral presentation about them, and what we loved the most was… our body dance THIS IS ME! We rock!

Here you have the song so you can dance and share with your families at home!

Enjoy and… move your body!

Let’s have a balanced diet!

Hello Primary 2!

During the past weeks in our English classes, we learned about food and healthy habits. We talked about fruits, vegetables, and healthy meals, and we learned why it is important to have a balanced diet and stay healthy.

We also explored the food pyramid and discovered that we should eat more fruits and vegetables, some proteins and dairy products as well as less sweets and junk food.

After that, we worked in groups creating our pyramids about healthy food. Each group designed a food pyramid or a healthy pyramid, including pictures that they found in magazines such as fruits, vegetables, and other food groups like proteins and carbohydrates. This activity helped students cooperate, share ideas, and work as a team!

Finally, each group gave an oral presentation in English to the class. They explained their posters using simple sentences such as:

  • “Fruits and vegetables are very healthy.” «We should eat five or six pieces of fruits and vegetables per day»

  • “This is our food pyramid. On top of the pyramid you can see sugar and unhealthy products like candies or chocolates.”

  • “We should drink lots of water and do exercise regularly.”

We will continue talking about healthy habits in order to have a healthy lifestyle and become super strong kids!

Have a nice weekend and remember… eat a rainbow!

Our little monsters!

Hello little monsters!!!!

ha ha! We are beautiful and cute monster in primary one 🙂

As you know, we are studying BODY PARTS and what’s better than creating strange creatures with so many and different body parts such as…

three big eyes, two heads, four legs, long tail, wings and horns and full of colourful hair!

First we learnt the vocabulary and how to describe our body parts then it was time to create our own monster, so… we worked by teams using our imagination to make funny and cute creatures that we will describe to our class later.

We enjoyed the process of being a team while learning English!

Have a nice day little monsters and here you have one of your favourite songs to dance!
