Clase Verde, Green Class

FARM ANIMALS

In preparation for the trip to the farm the children in the Green class were looking at farm animals in more detail, commenting on their colour and they also made toilet roll farm animals, which we all enjoyed. This week we are playing games in the English class, learning to take turns and change activity in English.farm animals

En preparación para la excursión a la granja los niños y niñas de la clase  estuvieron recordando los animales de la granja e hicieron unos animales con rollos de papel que a todos nos gustaron mucho. De vuelta en el colegio, estamos jugando juegos en la clase de inglés y aprendiendo a pedir turno y cambiar de actividad en inglés.

FOREST AND SNOWSTORM

The Red class have been out looking at trees in the garden. We have collected sticks and leaves. On our return to class, we drew trees with crayons, concentrating on the colours we saw. We used whit glue to stick the leaves and the twigs that we had collected. That´s all part of the work on the book «We´re going on a bear hunt».

La clase roja han estado mirando a los arboles en el jardín. Nos hemos fijado en los colores de los árboles y hemos recogido palos y hojas. De vuelta a clase dibujamos arboles con ceras duras y utilizamos cola blanca para pegar palitos y hojas.  Este trabajo formará parte de  del decorado del teatro que estamos preparando sobre el libro » Vamos a buscar un oso».

We´ve also made «snowstorms» using blue card and cotton wool.

También hemos hecho «la tormenta de nieve» usando cartón azul y algodón.snowstorm

STUDY IN BROWN

The children in the Red class went outside to collect earth. Back in the class we mixed the earth with water and made our own mud. The results are shown below.. Once again, our inspiration came from the  mud «squelch, squerch, squelch, squerch»in the book We´re Going on a Bear Hunt.

Los niños y niñas de la clase roja salieron fuera a buscar tierra. De vuelta en la clase, mezclamos la tierra con agua e hicimos nuestro propio barro. Los resultados están expuestos arriba… Otra vez, nuestra inspiración vino del barro «squelch, squerch, squelch, squerch» del libro Vamos a buscar un oso.

THE MIXED UP CHAMELEON

We have read the story: «The Mixed Up Chameleon» by Eric Carle, and reflected on all the different animals the chameleon wished he could look like, as well as the colours in which they were represented in the book.

Hemos leído la historia de «El Camaleón Confuso» de Eric Carle, fijándonos en los animales a los que el camaleón quería parecerse y los colores con los que éstos estaban representados en el libro.

In year 2 we have started by extending our knowledge of the names of different bugs, all are little creatures that can be found in our immediate environment. Below are images of just 5 of the bugs we are looking at.

 

En 2º hemos empezado a extender nuestro conocimiento de los nombres de diferentes bichos, todas son pequeñas criaturas que se pueden encontrar en nuestro entorno inmediato. Arriba hay imagenes de algunos de los bichos.
