Clase Verde, Green Class

GETTING READY FOR OUR TRIP

In the Green class, children have been working on the vocabulary of different items of clothing that they will be taking to Parapanda in two weeks. They are card bags, have cut out clothes and a figure of a person to dress. We´ll continue working on that new vocabulary next week. The photo below shows an example of their work.

En la clase verde los niños y niñas se han estado familiarizando con el vocabulario de diferentes artículos de ropa que se llevarán a Parapanda dentro de dos semanas. Están haciendo maletas de cartulina, han recortados ropas y la figura de una persona para vestir. Seguiremos trabajando el vocabulario nuevo durante toda la semana. La foto arriba muestra un ejemplo de su trabajo.

We´re very busy in the Red class making masks of wild animals. Each child has chosen an animal and is occupied putting their own personal touches to the mask. They´re lmost finished and we will be playing with them next week.

Estamos muy ocupados en la clase roja haciendo mascaras de animales salvajes. Los niños y niñas han elegido su animal y ahora están poniendo sus toques personales a la mascara. Ya casi están terminadas y la semana que viene jugaremos con ellas.

Children in Year 2 are getting ready to bake their own bread in English. We are working on all the English vocabulary and structures that we need: ingredients, equipment and actions. We are also making a Little Book of Bread, in which we record all the language that we are learning.

Los niños y niñas de segundo se están preparando para hacer su propio pan en inglés. Estamos trabajando el vocabulario y las estructuras necesarias: ingredientes, equipo y acciones. También estamos elaborando un librito de pan, en el que vamos apuntando todo lo que vamos aprendiendo.

As part of our unit on clothes, we´ve read «The Story of Little Babaji» to put an end to the unit on Clothes. We´ve read the book in the classroom and children have drawn a picture in their notebook.
