Here we are in this bizarre situation trying to spend time having fun learning and exercising. Due to Coronavirus, teacher Debora is going to comunicate with you through the computer. I would be delighted to receive a message from you saying how you feel about the situation and how much you enjoy the English videos I have chosen for you to practice and enjoy. 😉

As you know, today is St Patrick’s Day, a very popular day in USA and Ireland. This is a link to a page by National Geographic which explains the most attractive facts about this festivity.

Part of the activities we develop in our beautiful school, Alquería, is hunting chocolate eggs in the garden and playground. I ask you to do it at home hiding either real chocolate eggs or just toys. It is so much fun to play at home. These are some sentences for you to read at home:

• The easter bunny likes to jump inthe countryside and to hide chocolate eggs in the garden.
• There are many children in the playground hunting for easter eggs.
• I think this is a very fun activity.
• We all love to learn English with videos.

Aquí nos encontramos en esta extraña situación intentando pasar un tiempo divertivo, aprender y ejercitarnos. Debido al Coronavirus, teacher Débora se va a comunicar con vosotros por ordenador. Hello everyone!

We have been learning parts of the body they didn’t know from last year. More specific ones like eyelids, eyebrows, eyelashes, wrists, hips, ankles, elbows… (also tricks like the silent K before an N, Knee).

We are also quite advanced in reading, that is why we are reading online books for their level and age-gap on the page you can get an account on as parents called OXFORD OWL.

Hemos estados aprendiendo las partes del cuerpo que no aprendimos el año pasado por su especificidad y uso menos común. Ya estamos preparados para afinar un poquito más: párpados, cejas, muñecas, tobillos, codos… (también aprovechamos para enseñar truquillos como que la K delante de la N no suena).

Estamos también bastante avanzados en la lectura y es por ellos que estamos leyendo libros online adaptados a su nivel y franja de edad. Os podéis dar de alta en la página como padres. Se llama OXFORD OWL.
