Year 2 are working on their presentations about monsters. The child comes out in front of the class and  talks about the monster he/she has drawn. The talk takes the following format: Hello. My name is Sara. I am 7 years old. This is my monster. My monster´s name is Funny. My monster is 20 years old. My monster has got 2 heads. My monster has got 6 eyes. My monster has got 2 wings. My monster has got 3 legs. My monster has got 1 tail. Thank you.

En 2º estamos trabajando con sus presentaciones sobre los monstruos. El/la niñ@ sale delante de la clase y habla del monstruo que ha dibuajado. La charla tiene que seguir la siguiente estructura: Hola. Mi nombre es Sara. Tengo 7 años. Este es mi monstruo. El nombre de mi monstruo es Funny. Mi monstruo tiene 20 años. Mi monstruo tiene 2 cabezas. Mi monstruo tiene 6 ojos. Mi monstruo tiene 2 alas. Mi monstruo tiene 3 patas. Mi monstruo tiene 1 cola. Gracias.

We have just started revising vocabulary about the body and getting ready to use to describe people and monsters. This is the new chant that we have learnt this week.

Acabamos de empezar a revisar el vocabulario sobre el cuerpo y prepararnos para utilizarlo para describir gente y monstruos. Ésta es la nueva rima que hemos aprendido esta semana.

We have been looking at the exterior parts of the house and have learnt a new song «we are going to build a house». We are moving on to consider the occupants of the house and introduce vocabulary about the extended family.

Hemos nombrado las partes exteriores de la casa y aprendido una canción nueva «vamos a construir una casa». Ya estamos considerando los ocupantes de la casa e introduciendo vocabulario sobre la familia extendida.

«Under the bed», «Next to the sofa», «Under the television». These are an example of the structures that we are building in Year 2 using the new vocabulary about furniture and prepositions.

«Debajo de la cama», «Junto al sofá», «Debajo de la televisión». Éstos son ejemplos de las estructuras que estamos construyendo en la clase de 2º utilizando el nuevo vocabulario sobre el mobiliario del hogar, y las preposiciones.
