HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY?

Hello everyone!                How do you feel today?

During the past weeks in our English classes, we have been learning about emotions and feelings through songs, games, stories and fun activities. Children are enjoying discovering how to express their feelings in English while improving their speaking and listening skills.

We have worked with vocabulary such as:

  • Happy 😄
  • Sad 😢
  • Angry 😠
  • Scared 😨
  • Tired 😴
  • Excited 🤩

Students played different games to identify emotions, acted out feelings with facial expressions and gestures, and practiced simple structures like:

  • “I am happy!”
  • “How are you?”
  • “How do you feel today? ”
  • “I feel sad.”

Learning emotions is very important because it helps children communicate, understand others and talk about how they feel.

We love the following book and story… enjoy!

What’s your favourite means of transport?

Hello kids!

What’s your favourite means of transport?

In our Primary 2 English classes, we are learning about our new topic: Means of Transport.

We aren’t just learning words; we are using them to explain our world, the way we move around and travel. Students have been standing up in class to describe how they move around.

We’ve classified our favourite vehicles into three big groups:

  • LAND: Cars, buses, and trains moving through our streets.

  • AIR: Planes and helicopters flying high! Even rockets!

  • SEA: Boats and ships sailing the big blue ocean.

Here you have a song to review! Enjoy!

My house

This is my house

We love our homes! During the past weeks, our Primary 1 students have been learning all about the house, its rooms, furniture, and what routines we do in each place of our home.

We’ve explored the parts of the house and objects inside:

  • living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, garden…
  • sofa, bed, table, chair, lamp, window…

Through songs, drawings, teamwork and oral presentations, children are learning to describe their homes in English.

Examples of sentences we use:

  • This is my house.
  • There is a kitchen.
  • In the kitchen there is a fridge.
  • In the living room you can see a sofa and chairs.
  • In the garden you can see trees, a table and a swimming pool.
  • I sleep in my bedroom.
  • We eat in the dining room.

Students are creating a drawing or house plan of their home and doing an oral presentation to share with the rest of classmates.

Some of the sentences we are using to describe are:

This is my house. My house has a kitchen, a bathroom, and two bedrooms. My bedroom is blue. In my bedroom there is a bed and a carpet. I like my living room. I play in the living room with my family.

Here you have a video to review! See how much vocabulary you know already!
