How do you feel today?

Hi everyone!          How do you feel today?

During the past weeks in our English class, we have been learning about emotions and feelings through songs, games, stories and fun activities. Children are enjoying discovering how to express their feelings in English while improving their speaking and listening skills.

We have worked with vocabulary such as:

  • Happy 😄
  • Sad 😢
  • Angry 😠
  • Scared 😨
  • Tired 😴
  • Excited 🤩

Students played different games to identify emotions, acted out feelings with facial expressions and gestures, and practiced simple structures like:

  • “I am happy!”
  • “How are you?”
  • “How do you feel today? ”
  • “I feel sad.”

Learning emotions is very important because it helps children communicate, understand others and talk about how they feel.

Here you have a story that we love…. ENJOY!

Feelings & Emotions

Hi everyone!

As you know, we are learning how to talk about emotions and explain how we feel in different situations.

In Primary 2 we love talking in English and we are improving our speaking skills by using complete sentences and connecting feelings to life experiences.

We are practicing expressions such as:

  • “When it is my birthday, I feel happy.”
  • “When it is summer, I feel excited.”
  • “When I have a test, I feel nervous.”
  • “When I lose my toy, I feel sad.”
  • “When I play with my friends, I feel happy.”
  • “When I watch a scary film, I feel scared.”
  • “When I am very tired after sports, I feel exhausted.”
  • “When I get a present, I feel surprised.”

Through games, role-plays, conversations and fun activities with emojis, students are learning to recognize emotions, describe situations and express themselves more confidently in English.

We are also working on empathy and emotional education by talking about how different situations can make people feel in different ways.

Time to review guess the emotion with the following video from the movie «Inside Out»… enjoy!

What’s your favourite means of transport?

Hello kids!

What’s your favourite means of transport?

In our Primary 2 English classes, we are learning about our new topic: Means of Transport.

We aren’t just learning words; we are using them to explain our world, the way we move around and travel. Students have been standing up in class to describe how they move around.

We’ve classified our favourite vehicles into three big groups:

  • LAND: Cars, buses, and trains moving through our streets.

  • AIR: Planes and helicopters flying high! Even rockets!

  • SEA: Boats and ships sailing the big blue ocean.

Here you have a song to review! Enjoy!
