Dear parents,

Right before Christmas we have been playing games with numbers. We have been learning «How many fingers on one hand?» and «How many fingers on two hands?» to be able to count from this knowledge and not from number 1 each time. Some mental mathematics in English have been so much fun!!

Justo antes de la Navidad, hemos estado jugando con los número del 1 al 10. Hemos aprendido cuántos dedos tenemos en una mano y cuántos en dos para contar teniendo en cuenta estas premisas. ¡Un poco de cálculo mental en inglés ha sido superr diverrrrrr!

Dear parents,

What a wonderful season we are in!!!! Autumn and all of its splendorous colours are here to make us experience nature and to make us happy!! We have sang autumn songs, said poems, jumped in a pile of leaves… And on top of it, Mr Autumn has visited us from far far away to bring us leaves to play with and to tell us great adventures.

In the green class, we have been very occupied telling the rain to go away and to let us play. hehehheh

¡¡¡Qué estación del año más maravillosa!!! ¡¡¡El Otoño ha llegado con todos sus esplendorosos colores para hacernos experimentar la naturaleza y para ha cernos felices!!! Hemos cantado canciones de otoño, recitado poemas, saltado en un montón de hojas secas… y encima de todo, el Señor Otoño nos ha visitado desde muy lejos para traernos un montón de hojas para jugar y para contarnos increíbles aventuras.

En la clase verde, hemos estado ocupados diciéndole a la lluvia que se vaya y nos deje jugar. jejejejje

Dear parents,

These past weeks we have been learning soooooo much vocabulary. As you already know, our children have been practicing linking the different parts of the body with flash cards. As well, they have been recognizing them in their own body and the one of their partners. We have enjoyed many activities and games with this topic.

About Halloween, they love their costumes and talk about this party naturally. I loveeeeeeeeeee the idea, so we have recreated a Halloween party today in class: we have eaten chocolate cake as it is Leo Scoti’s birthday and monster eyes  hehehehe. So scary!! We have dressed up and danced and sang for the whole class.

Estas últimas semana hemos aprendido tanto tanto vocabulario relacionado con las partes de la cara y cuerpo. Como ya sabéis, Nuestros niños han estado practicando uniendo las diferentes partes del cuerpo con flash cards, uniendo el vocabulario con su propio cuerpo o con el de los compañeros. Hemos disfrutado mucho los juegos y actividades.

En cuanto a Halloween, les encantan sus disfraces y hablan de esta fiesta con naturalidad. Les encanta la idea y hemos recreado una fiesta de Halloween para celebrar el cumpleaños de Leo Scoti en clase: hemos comido bizcocho de chocolate y ojos de monstruo. ¡Qué miedo! Nos hemos disfrazado y bailado.

This group is sooooo much fun. I love teaching them new topics, they have so much interest in having fun and learning. These 2 weeks we are learning about the parts of the body and face. I like them to make a picture of themselves (body one day and face another one) so they stop for a moment to focus on their features.

Este grupo es tannnnnn divertido. Me encanta enseñarles cosas nuevas, tienen tanto interés en divertirse y aprender. Estas dos últimas semanas hemos estado aprendiendo las partes del cuerpo y de la cara. Me gusta que hagan un dibujo de sí mismos (tanto del cuerpo como de la cara) para que se paren un segundo y se centren en sus características.

Welcome to our school Alqueria and to the English class. These past 2 weeks we have been revising the Hello song and we have read a book called «How do dinosaurs go to school?». From this reading, we have created paint from modeling clay, we have created our own dinosaurs and we have danced with a beautiful song.

Bienvenidos de nuevo a nuestro cole Alquería y a la clase de inglés. Estas últimas semanas hemos estado revisando las Hello songs y hemos leído un libro llamado «¿Cómo van los dinosaurios al cole?» A partir de esta lectura, hemos pintado extendiendo plastilina y hemos creado nuestros propios dibujos. Además hemos bailado con una canción sobre dinosaurios.
