Kids in Year 2 are learning how to make bread with Granny´s recipe.  It´s a long process in which they learn a lot of  new vocabulary classified in three categories: INGREDIENTS, EQUIPMENT and STEPS. Our goal is that we can all make bread in the classroom using only English! In this video you can meet Granny and learn all about home made bread. I hope you enjoy!

Los niños y niñas de segundo están aprendiendo a hacer pan con la receta de la abuelita. Es un proceso largo en el cual estamos aprendiendo mucho vocabulario nuevo, que hemos clasificado en tres categorías: INGREDIENTES, UTENSILIOS y PASOS. Nuestro objetivo es poder elaborar pan en la clase, utilizando exclusivamente el inglés como lengua de comunicación. En este vídeo podéis conocer a la abuelita y aprender cómo se hace el pan casero. ¡Que disfrutéis!

Welcome back!
Children in Year 2 have just started a new Unit about Food. We are revising the vocabulary that we already know, learning some new words and producing dialogues about the food that we like and the food that we don´t like.

En segundo acabamos de comenzar una unidad sobre la comida. Los niños están repasando el vocabulario que ya conocían, aprendiendo algunas palabras nuevas y produciendo diálogos sobre aquellos alimentos que les gustan y aquellos que no.

Don´t miss this one at home! Kids in Year 1 have just learnt this song and they love it. We are revising the body parts vocabulary that they learnt in the Green Class and learning new words like «knees», «shoulders», «toes» and «fingers».

 

¡No os perdáis esta canción en casa! Los niños de primero la acaban de aprender y les encanta. Estamos revisando el vocabulario sobre el cuerpo humano que aprendieron en la clase verde y aprendiendo nuevas palabras como: «rodillas», «hombros», «dedos de los pies» y «dedos de las manos».

Welcome back everyone!

As part of our new unit on wild animals, we are reviewing all the vocabulary that we learnt in the Red Class. We have been singing this song in the classroom and reading various picture books related to the topic.

We are just starting a new unit on Shapes in the Red Class. We have introduced a new song to learn the word «Round». It is a song and also a finger play:
«Round and round the garden
like a Teddy Bear.
One step, two steps
tickle you under there»
En la Clase Roja acabamos de dar comienzo a una unidad sobre las formas. Esta semana hemos aprendido una nueva canción para introducir la palabra «redondo»/ «alrededor». Es una canción y también un juego con las manos.
