Parts of the body

Hi, everyone from «segundillo»!

These past weeks we have been learning about body parts. What an amazing interest and knowledge they have! They are able to describe their body and others’.

Apart from singing some funny songs about the different parts of the human body and face, we also played some guessing and word games in which we were are able to describe monsters, and developing our listening and oral skills in a enjoyable way ,for example playing “Who is who?”, it is so much fun!

Parts of the house

Hello hello!!!

During the past weeks in “primerillo”, we’ve been learning about the house, rooms and furniture. Our students have been expanding their vocabulary and discovering how to describe their world in English.

We have been creating a house to do an oral presentation to our classmates. We described the house with, for example, the following sentences:

  • This is my house.
  • My house is big. / My house is small.
  • It is white and brown.
  • There is a door.
  • There are three windows.
  • I have a garden.
  • My room is blue.
  • There is a bed in my room.
  • The kitchen is next to the living room.
  • In the living room, we have a sofa, a table, and a plant.
  • My house has two floors.
  • The kitchen is downstairs.
  • The bedrooms are upstairs.
  • I like my house!

Have a good afternoon and see you tomorrow! Don’t forget to bring a matchbox to start creating a suitcase to get ready for our Dílar trip!

Lots of love,

Spring is here!

Embracing Spring in Segundillo!

Hello dear students and friends!

Finally the sun is here! That’s why during the last weeks we’ve been immersing ourselves in the wonders of springtime.seasonal sun smiling kawaiiFrom learning about the changing seasons to exploring nature, our classroom has been buzzing like bees with excitement to say WELCOME TO SPRING!Welcome happy spring lettering

One of our favourite activities has been learning the song «It is Spring time» where we sing about the birds singing, the sunshine, and the blooming flowers… It’s been wonderful to see how the kids learnt these typical spring expressions with enthusiasm.

To make the most of this beautiful weather, we’ve been taken some lessons outdoors and creating a beautiful corner full of insects to say welcome to the Spring season!

We will continue exploring and learning, and looking forward to sharing more of our springtime adventures with you.

Going shopping in English!

Hello, dear students, parents and friends!Glitzy fashion shop stickers

We are excited to share that our students have successfully run their own clothing shop “Alqueria’s clothes shop”. This fun and interactive activity helped them learning vocabulary and dialogues related to clothes while practicing real-life communication skills in English.

Inside the classroom, we set up a mini shop where students took turns being shopkeepers and customers. They created everything in the shop, from the price list to the decoration.

They practiced sencentes like:

  • «How much is this T-shirt?»
  • «Can I try on the hat?»
  • «I would like to buy a dress, please.»
  • «Can I pay by card? «

.

Taking advantage of the beautiful weather that spring has brought, we also moved our shop outdoors! Being outside with our «mercadillo» made the experience even more exciting, as students interacted in a new environment, using English naturally while enjoying the fresh air.

We are so proud of our little shopkeepers and customers!

Stay tuned for more of our learning adventures!

Have a great weekend!
