Hello Primary 2!
During the past weeks in our English classes, we learned about food and healthy habits. We talked about fruits, vegetables, and healthy meals, and we learned why it is important to have a balanced diet and stay healthy.

We also explored the food pyramid and discovered that we should eat more fruits and vegetables, some proteins and dairy products as well as less sweets and junk food.
After that, we worked in groups creating our pyramids about healthy food. Each group designed a food pyramid or a healthy pyramid, including pictures that they found in magazines such as fruits, vegetables, and other food groups like proteins and carbohydrates. This activity helped students cooperate, share ideas, and work as a team!

Finally, each group gave an oral presentation in English to the class. They explained their posters using simple sentences such as:
“Fruits and vegetables are very healthy.” «We should eat five or six pieces of fruits and vegetables per day»
“This is our food pyramid. On top of the pyramid you can see sugar and unhealthy products like candies or chocolates.”
“We should drink lots of water and do exercise regularly.”
We will continue talking about healthy habits in order to have a healthy lifestyle and become super strong kids!
Have a nice weekend and remember… eat a rainbow!
