In Year 2 last  week the children have been doing their presentations on bugs.  The presentations take the following format:

• Hello. My name is Lucy.
• I am 31 years old.
• I found a … (name of the bug)
• It is in/on/under/ the flower/plant/leaf/stick/stone/pond
• It is … (bug´s colours)
• It has got … legs.
• It has got … wings.
• It has got … antennae
• Thank you

En la clase de  2º la semana pasada los niños y niñas han hecho sus presentaciones sobre los bichos. Las presentaciones están compuestas de las siguientes frases:

• Hola. Mi nombre es Lucy.
• Tengo 31 años.
• He encontrado… (nombre del bicho)
• Está en …
• Es de color …
• Tiene … patas.
• Tiene … alas.
• Tiene … antenas.

We made it! Our cookies / biscuits came out very well and we managed to use all our English:

Put in flour and peel

Mix it all up.

Put in the fridge.

¡Lo conseguimos! Al final nuestras galletas salieron bastante bien y fuimos capaces de utilizar todas las estructuras en inglés que habíamos presentado y trabajado previamente en la clase.

We´ve had the chance to go bug hunting this week. Children have used all the new words that they have been learning during the last two weeks. All the English that they learnt in the classroom comes together in a very natural way. We will go out and look for bugs in English again next week.

Hemos tenido la oportunidad de salir a buscar bichos esta semana. Los niños han utilizado todas las palabras nuevas que han estado aprendiendo durante las pasadas dos semanas. Todo el inglés que han aprendido se pone en práctica de manera muy natural. Seguramente volveremos a salir a buscar bichos la próxima semana.
