Healthy and Unhealthy Food

HELLO PRIMARY 2!

During the past weeks we learnt and explored about something really important:

Healthy and Unhealthy Food

Healthy vs unhealthy food vector flat illustration. | Spring Center of Hope - Ketamine InfusionsWe began by learning about different types of food, specially fruits and vegetables and we sorted them into two categories:

  • Healthy food: Fruits, vegetables, nuts…
  • Unhealthy food: Sweets, chips, sugary drinks…

The students shared their opinions about their favorite meals and snacks, and how many pieces of fruits and vegetables we should eat per day.

We have also discussed simple healthy habits, like drinking water, eating balanced meals, and staying active with exercise and sports.

Check the following videos with songs we have learnt together!

We encourage families to watch them together and discuss ways to make healthy choices every day. It’s a wonderful way to continue learning at home!

WE LOVE FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

WE LOVE FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

When it comes to eating healthy, fruits and vegetables are often at the top of the list. We’ll explore the fruits and vegetables we tend to like and dislike, and the reasons behind these preferences.

In red class we’ve played to BINGO!!!

They’re packed with essential vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. However, despite all their benefits, there are certain fruits and veggies that some of us love, while others… not so much.

In the Green class we’ve learned to classify fruits and vegetables:

Bye, bye See you soon!

House and School Supplies

Hello hello!!!

During the past weeks in “segundillo”, we’ve been learning about the house and school supplies. From the different rooms in a home to the tools we use every day in class, our students have been expanding their vocabulary and discovering how to describe their world in English.

In recent days we are focused in school materials, playing games like «What’s in my backpack?» and «What’s in my pencil case?» which challenged students to practice their vocabulary.

These activities not only improved their speaking skills but also helped them feel more confident using English in everyday contexts.

It’s incredible to see how much progress they’re making! 🙂

When we are learning a new language, one of the most effective and fun ways to acquire vocabulary is through toys. we’ll explore some of the most common toy-related terms in English, so that both kids and parents can start getting familiar with them in a fun way!

I love playing with my toys.

Doll – Muñeca
