We are just starting a new project about this classic tale. Our plan is to put together a little play with songs. We have worked on vocabulary, reading and writing.
Estamos poniendo en marcha un nuevo proyecto de trabajo en el área de inglés. Nuestro plan es montar una pequeña obra de teatro con canciones. Durante la semana pasada hemos trabajado vocabulario, lectura y algo de escritura.

As part of our unit about «The Body», we´ve read «The Gruffalo» by Julia Donaldson. We will work on this character for the next few days. We´ve focused on the vocabulary used in the book to describe the gruffalo and will move on to talk about the different characters´ feelings in the following weeks.
Como parte de la unidad sobre «El cuerpo», hemos leÃdo «El Grúfalo», de Julia Donaldson. Vamos a trabajar en este personaje durante los próximos dÃas. Nos hemos centrado en el vocabulario que el libro utiliza para describir al personaje y a lo largo de las próximas semanas pasaremos a hablar de los sentimientos de los diferentes personajes.
Children in Year 1 have been singing this Halloween Song for the last week. Children in Year 2 learnt it last year but still love listening to it once and again.  We are also learning Halloween vocabulary and playing games in the whiteboard. They all love the «Spooky Dance»! We are sure you´ll enjoy it at home too!
We had a wonderful time celebrating the European Languages Day today. Kids in Year 1 and Year 2 visited the different stands asking the boys and girls in Year 5:

They also challenged all the Primary children to guess how many languages (official and non official languages) are spoken in Europe and they enjoyed the performances in English and French by kids in Year 6.

Hoy nos lo hemos pasado muy bien celebrando el dÃa europeo de las lenguas. Los niños de 1º y 2º EPO han visitado los puestos dedicados a los diferentes paÃses de Europa preguntando en inglés:
<<¿Cómo se dice «Hola» en (nombre del paÃs)?>>
<<¿Cómo se dice «Te quiero» en … (nombre del paÃs)?>>
También hemos retado a los demás niños de Primaria a adivinar cuántas lenguas (oficiales y no oficiales) se hablan en Europa y han disfrutado de las obras de teatro en inglés y francés a cargo de los compañeros y compañeras de sexto.
