Orange Class, Red Class and Green Class: Preparing the visit to the farm

Dear parents,

I make this post with the purpose to get the children involved in their learning and practicing vocabulary. These past weeks we have been preparing for their different trips to the countryside. Although the topic is the same, the activities and resources are different according to the levels and class.

Orange class: songs, books…relate to the topic. Discrimination and drawing. Getting to know the sounds.

Red class: books, songs, interpretation, baby animals and sounds the they make. Let’s draw a farm!

Green class: role plays, vocabulary, songs, drawing, description of animals and guessing «Who is Who?» (but with animals). Introduction of English sounds and blending sounds to guess the word.

Next week we will prepare our suitcase with the right clothes and objects.

Orange Class: Spring is here

Dear parents,

We have been super busy having funnnn. Spring has arrived an we are experiencing the changes around. The countryside is becoming greener, flowers are blooming, colours are everywhere and bugs are starting to appear widening their vocabulary.

Ladybugs, butterflies, dragon flies, bees, mosquitos…

How do we know spring is here??… Listen to the following video.

On top of it, Easter is really near and we are learning what bunnies do. They hop, wiggle their noses, shake their tails, and flop their ears. Enjoyyyyyy!!! Happy Easter!!!!

Orange Class: Head, shoulders knees and toes

Dear parents,

After the super Carnival Party that we all enjoyed, we have been learning about the body parts with songs and games. We have drawn our bodies with chalk on the ground.  We have also loved reading many different books.

Estimados padres:

Después del super Carnaval de Alquería que todos hemos disfrutado, hemos estado aprendiendo sobre las partes del cuerpo con juegos y canciones. También nos hemos divertido leyendo muchos libros diferentes.

Hasta pronto,

Orange Class: The Three Little Pigs

Dear parents,

We have started this second term much more mature and attentive to learning, more curious. The first topic has been the classic tale: «The Three Little Pigs». For this purpose, we have used puppets, traditional cartoons, songs and colouring. We have learnt that they made the houses of 3 different materials: Straw, Wood and Bricks.

We have loved to play in a big circle singing…»Who’s afraid of th e big bad wolf?»

Estimados padres:
