We are working on our presentations in Year 1. The following is an example of what the children will say:

  • Hello. My name is Lucy.
  • I am 21 years old.
  • My favourite animal is a dog.
  • It lives in the jungle.
  • It is big / medium / small
  • It is orange, black and white.
  • Thank you.

Estamos preparando nuestras presentaciones en 1º. La siguiente es un ejemplo de qué dirán los niños y niñas :

  • Hola. Mi nombre es Lucy.
  • Tengo 21 años.
  • Mi animal favorito es el tigre.
  • Vive en la selva.
  • Es pequeño / mediano / grande.
  • Es naranja, negro y blanco.

FLY, FLY, FLY THE BUTTERFLY

In the Orange Class we are learning names of some common bugs: ladybug, butterfly, ant, firebug, spider and beetle. We play games with flashcards and go bug hunting outside. We say: «Look! A ladybug!»

Here´s a very simple song about a buttlefly that children will enjoy!

 En la Clase Naranja los niños y niñas están aprendiendo los nombres de algunos bichos comunes: mariquita, mariposa, hormiga, araña y escarabajo. Jugamos con las tarjetas de vocabulario y vamos fuera a cazar bichos. Decimos: «¡Mira! ¡Una mariquita!»

Aquí tenéis una cancioncita muy sencilla sobre la mariposa, que a los niños seguro que les gusta.

COUNTING BUGS

We have used the children´s interest on bugs to extend the unit into numbers. We count bugs and write the numbers in English.
